On Monday, I went with Ellyce to an adorable little candle factory on a hidden street in Segovia. I was told that a sweet, elderly man makes all of these candles by hand and even glues on pretty little dried flowers to some of the candles. He was ecstatic to show us around the "factory" and how he makes all of the candles! He dips the candles into the wax some three hundred times to get the appropriate size! So cool! I was more than happy to support his business and buy a candle from him. He even threw in an extra one for free! I'm so happy I decided to visit his cute little shop. If you're ever in Segovia, be sure to check out Cerería La Fabril Cerera (Calle Licenciado Peralta, 3, 40001 Segovia, Spain).
On Tuesday after my final exam/interview in Advanced Oral Spanish, Becca and I celebrated the end of all things academic by dining at an Indian restaurant in the old Jewish Quarter. For only nine euros, I got chicken tikka masala, rice, salad, naan, and a drink! Super yummy!
Tuesday evening was the party with the señoras at Casa Vicente. We ate delicious tapas, enjoyed yummy sangría, sang, danced, and began to say our goodbyes to everyone. The señoras were so silly last night! Two or three of the "moms" were gettin' their groove on. Check out the video below!
On Wednesday morning, I walked over to the contemporary art museum here in Segovia. There was a pretty cool photography exhibition in the museum. All of the photos were from in and around Segovia, but they were places you wouldn't normally see. For example, there were a couple of cool photos from the Alcázar's attic. Cool, huh?

After the museum, I headed over to the beautiful gothic cathedral to tour it one last time. I ran into Becca there, so we walked around together. The patio is my favorite part of the entire cathedral. You can see great views of the towers from it.

I spent the rest of my day snacking on my favorite Spanish tapas, doing some last-minute souvenir shopping with friends, and saying our final goodbyes. While I'm very ready to return to the States and see my loved ones, I've made such incredible friendships here, and I will truly miss my little home away from home.
My apologies for the short post, but I have to be awake in five and a half hours and be at the Aqueduct to board the bus in seven hours! I'll be sure to post some refections in a few days after I get settled in the States again. Thank you all so much for following my journey here!
Hasta pronto,
Kelly
